Senegal: Government announces new measures to ease travel during Tabaski

As the Tabaski 2026 festival approaches, the Senegalese Ministry of Land and Air Transport is implementing a special system to facilitate travel. Two new highway sections, connecting Mbour to Thiadiaye and Thiadiaye to Kaolack, will be opened, along with an increase in toll capacity. Eight official departure sites have been designated to manage the flow of travelers, six for private operators and two for the national company Dakar Dem Dikk.
