Senegal-Morocco friendship put to test by AFCON title turmoil

Relations between Senegal and Morocco have soured since the Confederation of African Football (CAF) stripped Senegal of the AFCON title, transferring it to Morocco. Senegal has lodged an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding this decision. Additionally, 18 Senegalese supporters have been detained in Morocco for over two months for hooliganism, further complicating relations between the two countries.
