Senegal: PASTEF congress opens amid exclusions of Diomaye's close associates – La Nouvelle Tribune

The congress of PASTEF-Les Patriotes is being held this Saturday in Diamniadio, marked by the exclusion of several figures close to President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, sanctioned for joining the government led by Prime Minister Al Aminou Lo. The party has integrated 55 organizations (9 parties and 46 movements). Ousmane Sonko, the party's secretary general, is set to be invested on Sunday at the Dakar Aréna. Diomaye Faye remains an official member of PASTEF, but no decision regarding his own membership has been announced.
