Senegalese Army: General Babou Faye Joins the Second Section of the General Staff

Brigadier General Babou Faye officially joined the second section of the General Staff as of April 11, 2026. Previously the Director of the Army Logistics Service, he was promoted to brigadier general in April 2025. Faye began his career in the infantry but had to shift to Logistics after being injured in Casamance. He is succeeded in the Logistics Service by Colonel Mamadou Diaraf Gningue.
