The Social Health Authority (SHA) and the Digital Health Agency (DHA) issued a joint statement on July 7, 2026, refuting allegations that a private company controls Taifa Care funds. The agencies clarified that no private firm receives, controls or disburses funds on behalf of SHA. SHA remains solely responsible for reviewing and paying eligible claims under the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023. A 2% transaction fee is provided under the Digital Health Act, 2023 to support electronic claims processing.
