ADC Youths petition NJC, demand justice Lifu’s removal

The National Youth Wing of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) petitioned the National Judicial Council (NJC) on Thursday, calling for the removal of Justice Peter Odo Lifu from all matters involving the party and his dismissal from the bench over alleged misconduct. The petition follows a Federal High Court judgment directing INEC to deregister the ADC and four other parties, which the youth wing described as politically motivated. They allege that Justice Lifu proceeded despite a Court of Appeal order staying proceedings and that repeated complaints against him erode public confidence. The group demands the NJC recommend his dismissal.
