In Freetown, the Coastal Unity boat race took place on April 4 and 5, bringing together over 16 coastal communities. This event promoted local tourism and culture, with teams competing on handmade historical boats. The ferry terminal team from Kissy won the competition, which is seen as a matter of speed, skill, and prestige.
