Persons with disabilities in Niger State, Nigeria, decry exclusion from political appointments and jobs. Muhammad Abubakar Enagi, Executive Director of the Empowerment Initiative of Persons with Disabilities, says out of about 5,000 political appointments, only six went to PWDs, and out of about 10,000 permanent jobs, only about 30. Groups demand a disability commission, promised by Governor Umaru Bago but not yet established.
