Six Killed, Scores Injured as Matatu Collides with Truck Along Webuye-Bungoma Highway

At least six people died in a road accident involving a Victory Shuttle matatu and a trailer on the Webuye-Bungoma Highway. The collision occurred on Tuesday, June 9, around midnight. Witnesses said the matatu driver was driving without headlights despite passengers' pleas. Five passengers died on the spot, including three men and two women. The injured were taken to Bungoma County Referral Hospital.
