Somalia registers the country’s first ship bearing the national flag

Somalia has officially registered its first vessel, the Guney, which will fly the national flag. This ship is the first since the collapse of the central government in 1991 and marks a historic step toward restoring the country's maritime sovereignty. Ports and Maritime Transport Minister Abdulqadir Mohamed Nur described this initiative as a significant breakthrough in rebuilding the country's maritime institutions.
