Southern Kaduna killings: Atiku denies ignoring victims of violence

Atiku Abubakar, the 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), rejected accusations by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, that he had ignored victims of violence. He emphasized that he attended a church thanksgiving service in Kagoro, Southern Kaduna, to support the grieving community. Atiku has consistently condemned terrorism, banditry, and communal violence, and criticized Lawal's selective outrage, noting that Lawal accepted a Fulani appointment without objection. The statement also highlighted that Lawal benefited from Fulani support when appointed.
