Sowore accuses celebrities of using police against online critics

Former African Action Congress presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, criticized the increasing use of security agencies against social media users in Nigeria. He stated that some Nigerian celebrities appear willing to involve law enforcement in disputes over online comments. Sowore warned that the growing criminalization of online speech could threaten freedom of expression and democratic rights in the country.
