State bucks trend with Sh92bn rise in development spending

Government spending on development projects rose by Sh91.8 billion in the first nine months of the current financial year, reaching Sh262.63 billion. This 53.7% increase from the previous year marks a significant shift after development expenditure fell to an 11-year low. The rebound comes as Kenya seeks to revive its economy amid challenges such as drought and high inflation.
