Stop intimidating bicycle riders on Abia roads - FRSC warns motorists

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Abia State Sector Command has cautioned motorists against harassing cyclists on Abia roads. Sector Commander Ngozi Ezeoma gave the warning on Wednesday in Umuahia during the United Nations World Cycling Day 2026. She urged governors, local government chairmen, and urban planners to prioritize cycling-friendly infrastructure. Abia State Commissioner for Transport, Chimezie Ukaegbu, also called on citizens, especially youths, to embrace cycling to reduce carbon emissions and dependence on fossil fuel.
