South Sudan: Both Sides Blocking Aid, Displacing Civilians

Military and opposition forces in South Sudan are blocking humanitarian access and unjustly ordering civilians to evacuate populated areas, according to Human Rights Watch. Since late 2025, at least 280,000 people have been displaced, fleeing government bombardments and fearing abuses. Indiscriminate aerial bombardments have been reported in areas under evacuation orders, endangering civilian lives.
