Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu met with Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote in Dar es Salaam, emphasizing his role as a key investor in Tanzania through his cement factory in Mtwara. This meeting comes as Dangote considers establishing an oil refinery in Kenya, favoring Mombasa for its superior port infrastructure. The East African refinery project is estimated to cost between Ksh1.95 trillion and Ksh2.21 trillion, with Dangote expected to fund the majority.
