Suspect in White House dinner shooting identified

A 31-year-old man, Cole Tomas Allen from Torrance, California, has been identified as the suspect who opened fire during the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. Armed with a shotgun and a handgun, he exchanged gunfire with law enforcement before being tackled. While Allen was not injured, a Secret Service officer was struck in the bulletproof vest and is expected to survive. Authorities stated that Allen's motive remains unclear and he had no criminal record.
