Synagogue in Tehran ‘completely destroyed’ in US-Israeli attack

US-Israeli strikes have completely destroyed the Rafi-Nia Synagogue in Tehran, according to Iranian media. The attacks on April 6, 2026, also resulted in the deaths of more than a dozen people. Footage showed civil defense workers amid the rubble, with Hebrew-language books scattered on the ground. Nearby buildings were severely damaged due to the narrowness of the surrounding streets.
