Benin: CRIET rejects the provisional release request of Me Magloire Yansunu

The Court for the Suppression of Economic Crimes and Terrorism (CRIET) rejected the provisional release request of Me Magloire Yansunu, who has been in detention since April 13 for abuse of function and money laundering. Despite the defense's arguments, including representation guarantees, the prosecution requested the rejection of the request. Yansunu was questioned about funds he allegedly retained without informing his clients and challenged CRIET's jurisdiction over the dispute.
