Children Exposed to Poverty and Natural Disasters in DRC

During a workshop in Kinshasa, it was highlighted that poverty, gender inequalities, and natural disasters severely affect children's lives in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Aimé Mbuyi from the Ministry of Environment stated that over 90% of children are already experiencing the effects of extreme climate events. Jeannine Matondo emphasized the importance of integrating environmental education into the national school curriculum to raise awareness among young people from an early age.
