Tanzania beats Nigeria in the latest global fertility rates ranking

Tanzania, with an estimated population of 70.5 million, has an average fertility rate of 4.47, ranking 13th globally. In contrast, Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa with 237.5 million residents, ranks 16th with a fertility rate of 4.30. Chad tops the global list with a rate of 5.94, followed by Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
