Tanzania gives up efforts to revive the defunct Tire manufacturing factory in Arusha

Tanzania has officially given up on attempts to revive the tire manufacturing factory located in Arusha. Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Waziri Rajab Salum, stated that it is no longer feasible to resurrect the plant and suggested converting it into a business center. The machinery from the General Tyre factory will be transferred to the Kilimanjaro Machine Tools plant in Moshi to prevent it from rusting.
