Aborted Escape Attempt: Verdict for 'Mara Milliardaire' Arrested in Homosexuality Case

Abdoulaye Faye, known as 'Mara Milliardaire', was sentenced to three months in prison for an escape attempt during a medical visit at Abass Ndao hospital in Dakar. Claiming a pressing need, he locked himself in the toilet and fled through a window, but was caught by a prison guard within the hospital grounds. At his trial, he justified his action by the damage to his reputation due to homosexuality accusations, but failed to convince the court. He is already under investigation for pedophilia, rape of minors, and intentional transmission of HIV.
