The General Inspectorate of Police Inspects Police Cells in Kinshasa

Since May 25, inspectors from the Congolese National Police General Inspectorate (IG-PNC) have been conducting inspections of police cells in Kinshasa to identify arbitrary arrests. They are releasing individuals detained illegally, including those arrested solely for their hairstyle. Inspector General Philémon Patience Mushid Yav is responding to the Interior Minister's call to combat human rights violations.
