East of the DRC: In Nyiragongo near Goma, the headquarters of a radio station transformed into an AFC/M23 intelligence office after its closure, reports RSF

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) revealed that AFC/M23 rebels have converted the premises of Nyiragongo Musisimuke radio into an intelligence office and a detention site for civilians. Testimonies indicate that the radio's equipment has been replaced with Congolese flags and AFC/M23 insignia. Residents of Goma, such as David and Stanley, were arrested and mistreated in these premises, where they were temporarily held before being transferred to other intelligence offices.
