Ouagadougou fines Canal+ 76,000 euros

Burkina Faso's High Council for Communication (CSC) has fined French group Canal+ 50 million CFA francs (about 76,200 euros) for failing to comply with its obligations to broadcast national public channels. The regulator accuses Canal+ of not ensuring free access to RTB channels for all its subscribers in the country. The penalty follows an agreement signed in February 2024 between the CSC and Canal+ International.
