Tinubu orders strict compliance with procurement rules

President Bola Tinubu has directed Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to strictly adhere to procurement guidelines. BPP Director-General Adebowale Adedokun stated that the President supports reforms through non-interference and insistence on compliance. All contract variations must now be reviewed and approved by the BPP to prevent cost inflation. The Nigeria-First policy has reduced federal spending on vehicles and now extends to textiles, garments, and solar products.
