'It's over': Nigeria evacuates 1,490 nationals from South Africa amid xenophobia

Nigeria has completed the evacuation of 1,490 of its nationals from South Africa following a wave of xenophobic violence. Foreign ministry spokesperson Kimiebi Ebienfa announced the end of the operation on Friday. A fifth Air Peace flight left Johannesburg with 305 Nigerians on board. The repatriations, coordinated with the High Commission in Pretoria and the Consulate in Johannesburg, address growing security concerns.
