Criminal Court: Lonase CEO Toussaint Manga finally convicted

The Dakar criminal court sentenced Toussaint Manga, CEO of the Senegalese National Lottery, to two months suspended prison and a fine of 100,000 F CFA for defamation and spreading false news. He must also pay 5 million F CFA in damages to Alioune Ndoye, mayor of Dakar-Plateau, who had sued him over Facebook posts. The initial claim was 500 million F CFA. The case involved publications questioning the management of the former minister.
