Troops nab five suspected bandit informants in Niger, recover phones, cash

The Joint Task Force (JTF) Operation Savannah Shield (OPSS) apprehended five suspected bandits/terrorists informants in Niger State, Nigeria, in separate operations. Troops recovered phones, cash, and other items linking the suspects to criminal activities. A search revealed a photograph of a beheaded individual dated 2 May 2026. The suspects and exhibits are in custody for further investigation.
