Troops repel Boko Haram attack, Commanding Officer, others killed

Troops of Sector 3, Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI lost a Commanding Officer and six other security personnel during a Boko Haram attack at Charlie 13 location in Monguno, Borno state. The Commanding Officer was killed by an improvised explosive device while attempting to assess the situation. His bravery and commitment to his men were praised by the operation's spokesperson, Lt. Col. Sani Uba.
