Troops repel ISWAP attack, recover camcorder linked to foreign terror facilitators in Borno

Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, repelled a coordinated infiltration attempt by suspected ISWAP terrorists at Cross Kauwa in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State. They inflicted heavy casualties and recovered a Sony camcorder containing intelligence linking the operation to foreign terrorist facilitators. Identified facilitators include a Palestinian known as Abu Ishaq, the group's chief trainer, and a Moroccan named Abu Thaiba, a medical doctor within the terrorist network. The terrorists aimed to loot cholera-related medical supplies, as a cholera outbreak is ongoing in ISWAP camps around Lake Chad.
