Has Trump confirmed Iran’s claim that protesters were US-armed?

US President Donald Trump stated that Washington armed Iranian opposition groups and protesters during the antigovernment demonstrations in December and January, which resulted in thousands of deaths. In a phone interview, he claimed that the US was directly involved in efforts to destabilize the Iranian government before strikes were launched by the US and Israel on February 28. As of now, the US-Israel war on Iran has resulted in at least 2,076 deaths in Iran.
