Trump Extends AGOA Through December 2026, Kenya Among Countries to Reap Benefits

U.S. President Donald Trump signed a proclamation extending the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) until December 31, 2026, allowing Kenya to maintain duty-free access to the American market. The extension affects over 6,500 product lines, primarily textiles and apparel, which account for more than 90% of Kenya's AGOA exports. Kenyan farmers will also benefit from duty-free entry for agricultural products such as coffee and flowers.
