Trump to pursue stability with China’s Xi in May meeting, USTR Greer says

US President Donald Trump will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in May to maintain stability in the economic and trade relationship between the United States and China. US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer stated that the world's two largest economies have settled into a stable situation, allowing the US to access Chinese rare earth minerals while maintaining substantial tariffs on Chinese goods. Greer also mentioned a discussion on rare earth minerals that took place in Paris in March with the US Treasury Secretary and the Chinese Vice Premier.
