Touba: A fake convert scams a famous marabout and empties his steward's Wave account

The Touba Research Brigade arrested A. Diédhiou, suspected of fraud after posing as a Christian convert. Under the false name 'Philippe Diatta', he took advantage of his closeness to a marabout to steal a relative's phone and divert over 600,000 FCFA through a Wave account. He also hacked the victim's WhatsApp application to extort money from their contacts. The individual is currently facing charges of theft and fraud.
