TSC Announces Plans to Promote Over 30,000 Teachers by End of 2026

The Teachers' Service Commission (TSC) announced plans to promote over 30,000 teachers by the end of 2026, depending on retirements and resignations. Acting CEO Evaleen Mitei stated that promotions will rely on the allocation of Ksh2 billion by the National Treasury for the 2026/2027 Financial Year. Additionally, 20,000 intern teachers will be absorbed into permanent positions after completing their mandatory two-year internship.
