TUC demands equal retirement policies of 65 yrs, 35 yrs in service

The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has urged the federal government to adopt equal retirement policies of 65 years or 35 years in service for civil servants. TUC President Festus Osifo stated that the current disparities in retirement policies are discriminatory and detrimental to national development. He also criticized early retirement rules for heads of research institutions and professors, describing them as a setback to Nigeria's innovation capacity.
