Domestic VAT: DGI misses its target of 8.2 billion FCFA in first quarter 2026

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) collected 197.7 billion FCFA in domestic VAT in Q1 2026, missing the target of 205.8 billion by 8.2 billion. Revenue fell by 5.8 billion compared to the same period in 2025. However, import VAT rose by 6.5 billion, offsetting the decline. Total VAT revenue (domestic and import) reached 316.8 billion, stable compared to 2025.
