TVETA Closes a College in Tigoni for Operating Without a License

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) has closed a college in Tigoni, accusing it of exposing students to 'fake training and worthless certificates'. The college, operating an Initiative for Skills Empowerment project, was shut down in partnership with the Limuru Sub-County security team for breaching the TVET Act. Students were deceived into paying for courses without qualified tutors or training facilities.
