Two Togolese arrested by Kwara Police after foiled kidnap attempt

The Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Kwara State Police Command arrested two Togolese nationals, Yakubu Ismaila and Hadiza Kosia, for plotting to extort N22 million from a Nigerian through kidnapping. The suspects had threatened S. Ismaila to pay the sum or else he would be kidnapped and his brother Musa Ismaila killed. Police used intelligence-driven strategies to track and arrest the suspects, who confessed to their involvement. Commissioner of Police Ojo Adekimi commended the swift response of the operatives.
