Police probe murder of farmer in Kwara

The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the gruesome murder of farmer Azeez Garba, whose body was found on his farmland along the Owa-Onire axis in Isin Local Government Area. The victim's daughter, Rofiat Abdulazeez, had raised the alarm. Preliminary findings show Garba suffered deep machete wounds. No arrests have been made, but police say all leads are being pursued.

Biggest cover-up - Sowore speaks on arrest of fake PFIPC DG, Adeniyi Adeyemi

Human rights activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore described the arrest of the self-acclaimed Director-General of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, as 'the biggest cover-up ever.' Sowore alleged that the arrest and reported dehumanisation of Adeyemi suggest an official cover-up rather than a genuine search for truth, and called for the arrest and investigation of President Tinubu's Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila. He further claimed that the individual alleged to have collected a ₦400 million bribe on Gbajabiamila's behalf has died under mysterious circumstances, and the hotel used for the transaction has been demolished. Adeyemi was arrested after a warrant was issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja on charges of forgery, fraud, and impersonation.
