2026 Ballon d’Or: Official website error announces three winners, sparking confusion

Hours before the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony in London, the official website accidentally published three articles, each naming a different winner: Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé. The contradictory posts fueled speculation on social media. They may have resulted from several articles prepared in advance for the candidates and mistakenly published before the official announcement, but organizers have not confirmed this explanation. The posts do not prove that any of the three players won the award, which will have only one recipient.
