Central region posts fastest hotel bed-night growth

Central Kenya recorded a 32.9% growth in hotel bed-night occupancy in 2025, reaching 1,168,800 bed-nights, up from 897,500 the previous year. In contrast, bed-nights at the coast and Maasailand declined by 40% and 9.2%, respectively. The South Coast emerged as the most preferred destination, with bed-nights more than quadrupling, while bed-nights occupied by Kenyan residents at the Coast decreased by 6.2%.
