Survivors of violence and killings in Kivu call for transitional justice

In Kinshasa on October 15, civil society associations and human rights defenders who survived violence in eastern DR Congo called for transitional justice, reparations for victims and an end to impunity in North and South Kivu. He also called for stronger oversight of funds intended for victims, internally displaced people and human rights defenders.

The case expands an Italian investigation that had previously focused on National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
