The Nigerian Air Force has received five new helicopters, including three AW-109 Trekker B and two H-125, as part of the Federal Government's efforts to modernize the country's airpower capabilities. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, stated that these helicopters would enhance aircraft availability and support ongoing military operations against terrorism and crime. The new platforms are undergoing assembly and technical readiness processes ahead of their induction.
