The economy is experiencing its most severe crisis on record, with 92% of economic establishments damaged or destroyed since the war began in October 2023. Over 90% of the working-age population is unemployed, and Gaza’s GDP per capita has decreased by 83% to $212. The damage primarily affects housing, with most hospitals non-functional and less than 1.5% of farmland remaining accessible.
