Everton’s US owners seek sale of controlling stake in Premier League club

Everton’s US owners, The Friedkin Group (TFG), announced they are open to selling a controlling stake in the club to attract new investment. This comes less than two years after they acquired Everton from former owner Farhad Moshiri in December 2024, when the club was facing financial difficulties and instability. TFG has overseen the club’s move to Hill Dickinson Stadium and worked to improve its financial position, stating they will only consider proposals from parties capable of building on the progress made. The group has hired investment bank Moelis & Company to advise on the process.
