The Supreme Council for Shariah in Nigeria (SCSN) has criticized the worsening security situation, urging the Federal Government to take urgent action to protect lives and property. In a statement, it cited recent attacks and mass abductions in Borno, Oyo, Niger and Zamfara states, as well as the kidnapping of a retired army general and his wife in Katsina State. The council expressed frustration over repeated promises without results and demanded greater transparency in the use of security funds, noting that thousands have been killed or displaced.
