Roscosmos announced on July 14, 2026 an agreement with the United States to extend joint operations of the International Space Station until 2030. Russian space agency chief Dmitri Bakanov made the statement after the Soyuz MS-29 docked with the station. NASA has not confirmed the information despite the presence of its administrator Jared Isaacman at Baikonur. This announcement marks a Russian reversal, as Moscow had previously only committed until 2028, while air leaks persist on the Russian segment.
